26th January 2007 Skiing: Melchsee Frutt Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: First full day on the slopes, brilliant sunshine all day, fantastic! I just stuck to the blue and the red runs today before getting stuck into the black runs. I managed a huge stack today I went to have a little play in the fresh powder off the edge of the piste. The snow wasn't as deep as it looked I managed to clout a rock which had skis pinging off all around me and me cart wheeling down the hill, only my pride was hurt though ( I was right under the lift!) I decided to stick to the piste after that little adventure. I could really feel the difference between my skis and the hire ones today. The hire skis being a little shorter than mine were easier to turn but not as good on any hard and icey bits. |
